Last monday, 2 january 2009 started the documentary Music Of ResistanceMusic Of Resistance on English channel of Al Jazeera. This 6 part documtary is about resistance in music in Nigeria, Mozambique, the favelas of Brazil, Cape Verde, the desert of the Southern Sahara and inner-city London.
The documentary's are presented by Steve Chandra Savale aka Chandrasonic, who record them mostly spring and summer 2008 between all the gigs in Europe. The first part this week is about fight racism in thier own hometown London. The docmentary tells the connections between ADF and racism, the rise up from the British national party BNP, youngsters turning to gangs and about ADFed (Asian Dub Foundation education) as a way of getting them back on track.
This week documentary is gonna repeat every day till monday 9 february 2009 when part 2 of Music Of Resistance gonna be broadcast.

Asian Dub Foundation live in South and Middle America
Asian Dub Foundation have confirmed to play 4 gigs in South and Middle America. Later this month 2 gigs in Columbia and later on in march 2 gigs in Mexico.

Asian Dub Foundation on European tour
from begin last month (saturday 1 november 2008) is Asian Dub Foundation on the road to promote thier album Punkara in Europe. The tour bringing them so far to countries like Netherlands, Germany, Czech, Italy and Austria.
During the set of songs from all the albums is Asian Dub Foundation also playing a brand new track with the worktitle "Diwali". During different gigs in Europe they had a guest singers like Karim (Nomad Sound System) and Sista K (Watcha Clan) to play this riddim along.
They continue touring (see tourdates below) till end of december in France, Spain and Portugal.
For next year is Asian Dub Foundation confirmed to play in South and Middle America with a festival gig in january 2009 in Columbia and march 2009 in Mexico. Details soon about this.

This weekend on sunday 12 october 2008 is Dr. Das playing @ The Broadway, Barking as part of Molten Arts festival in London. Also Dr. Das currently playing in the live-band of Arun Ghosh in England.

Punkara released in France (soon rest of world)
This week Asian Dub Foundation thier 11th album (include all the compilations and live albums) titled Punkara is released.
On the European release of this album are 3 bonustracks; S.O.C.A. featuring vocals of Eugene Hütz of Gogol Bordello and 2 live tracks recorded 5 july 2008 live @ Solidarité festival in Paris (France).

Also announce Asian Dub Foundation plus very special guests a gig on tuesday 28 october in London. The gig will find place @ Electric Ballroom in Camden Town.
