Dr. Das remixing
Dr Das, one of the founders from Asian Dub Foundation is currently finishing remixing other artists on his own and with Visionary Underground.
Currently finishing Dr Das a remix for The Bant Singh project from Word Sound Power. Word Sound Power showcases Mazdoor icon Bant Singh and his folk songs of rebellion, inter-class violence and equality. Bant Singh from Jabbar Village in Punjab is a legendary singer and activist of Mazdoor Mukti Morcha. In 2006 he was attacked by a gang of upper caste men, beaten with iron rods and left for dead. The orginally tracks (released january 2011) of Chris McGuinness traverse Indian, dancehall and electronic sounds, setting the pace for the politically charged flow of Delhi Sultanate, whose lyrics cover topics ranging from colonial oppression to police “encounter” killings.
Check the REMIXES page for free downloads from the remixes by Dr Das, Subatomic Soundsystem and Nucleya.
Meanwhile Dr. Das finished along with Visionary Underground also a new remix for the Asian Dub Foundation collaboration with Indigenous Resistance track "This Land Is Not For Sale" for the release from Indigenous Resistance next release.
